I am getting complaints of emails being received from which contain the virus W32.Netsky.B@mm This is a mass-mailing worm that sends itself to the email addresses it finds when scanning your hard drives. I have scanned ALL of the computers I use and this virus is not present on any of them, so the emails are not originating from any of my computers.

PLEASE NOTE: these emails are NOT being sent by me. They must, therefore, be the work of someone trying to create mischief. "Email address theft" is becoming quite a common strategy by the virus distribution monkeys, but some of the complaints about this particular spate of problems indicates that we have been deliberately targeted by someone attempting to smear the website.

If you receive an email from the above address which you are not expecting please treat it with extreme caution and use a virus programme to isolate any viruses that the email might contain. If your PC become infected please go to W32.Netsky.B@mm Removal Tool at SYMANTEC.

If you receive an email which apparently comes from me but contains any virus then please email me at with all the details of where the email originated and the type of virus found and I will forward the details on to the proper authorities.

The Subject of the email will usually be one of the following:

  • hi
  • hello
  • read it immediately
  • something for you
  • warning
  • information
  • stolen
  • fake
  • unknown
